sunny above the clouds

Life is crazy at the moment! Just had a week in Tenerife for a mandatory field course with uni (wish i was on a proper holiday climbing). It was okay. Very sunny. But now I am home and working like crazy on my dissertation! It due on the 20th of April. 

Anyhow.. I managed to escape on Sunday to climb at Hobson Moor and me and Olli both did an E2 and I finally sent the back wall traverse. I tried it last year but kept falling off near the end but got it first go today :D

Anddd back to work so i wont feel too guilty going to Pembroke this weekend. So excited! :D

Sent a 7c today at MCC! Woop woop

Almost sent a 7c at the wall yesterday!!! Definitely need to go back and send it soon :D

Went to the 4th Round of the Northern Universities Bouldering League today at Rock Over in Manchester. The problems were so fun!! Came 2nd so pretty happy about that. 

Too many comps! Think this is why I am still ill. Worst cold ever refuses to go away! Think I’m going to skip uni tomorrow and see if bed will fix it :)

Yesterday MCC hosted a ‘student crown comp’ basically an inter-university climbing competition. The only unis really there were Man Uni, Man Met and UCLAN but nevertheless quite a few people. The problems were pretty good too :)

Anyway I scored 144 out of 200 so I won the female category :D I also would have come second in the males because only Mike from Man Met beat me! Maybe standards are lowering haha :) It was fun anyway.

Yesterday Olli, Jon and I were given the chance to set an orange bouldering circuit upstairs at MCC! I think the problems we made were pretty cool, probs ranging from V3-V6. It was so fun though I really want to set some more!

Also competed in the last round of GROWL (Great Rock Over Winter League) and came 4th overall! Pretty happy about that since I only went to 2 rounds out of 4 :)

Now I’m really sore and trying to write an essay on Quaternary ice sheets. It’s not going very well :(
